(Lepas anatifera) is a marine animal, which lives fixed on a rock or driftwood, and sometimes attaches itself to turtles or whales.The body consists of a long foot ending in a shell. This beautiful illustration is from " Histoire Naturelle, Vers Testaces a Coquille Multivalve, engraved by Benard.
