This is a steel engraved map, hand coloured, showing the counties or shires of Scotland which were established in the middle ages. Also showing the Hebrides or
the Western Isles, and part of the Orkney Islands. It extends from the Northern Atlantic to the North Sea, and down to Solway Firth.
