Plan de L’Hellespont from ‘Voyage du Jeune Anacharsis en Grece’ by Abbe Barthelemy. This publication documents the Travels of the Young Anacharsis in the middle of the Fourth century before Christianity. Barbie du Bocage, the cartographer and cosmographer, provided the maps which are edited and engraved by Ambroise Tardieu.
This beautiful map illustrates and identifies hills, trees, fields, rivers, temples and mines, as well as settlements.
